Laura Lemley is a committed caregiver and passionate advocate for families affected by Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), specifically Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA). A carrier of the GRN mutation, Laura has been deeply involved in supporting her mother, who is in the advanced stages of the disease, while also confronting the genetic risks for her children and nephew.

Laura serves on the ALLFTD Engagement Board, where she helps shape research and community engagement initiatives. Alongside her father and brother, she has pursued innovative treatment options, including traveling to Philadelphia in search of clinical trials and genetic therapies. She also volunteers with the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD), contributing to peer support and awareness-building efforts.

Fueled by personal experience, Laura is determined to help others navigate the challenges of GRN-FTD and works tirelessly to support research and improve outcomes for future generations.
