Dr. Swetha Mohan is a scientist in neurodegeneration with a background in molecular biology, drug discovery, and scientific program development across the United States and India. She conducted her postdoctoral research at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, where her work focused on disease mechanisms in Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), with a focus on GRN biology.

Through continued engagement with clinicians, researchers, and patient communities globally, she has developed a strong interest in addressing the unmet needs surrounding awareness, early recognition, and research readiness in genetic FTD, especially in regions where the condition remains underdiagnosed.

She is currently engaging with global partners, including CureGRN, to explore ways to contribute to education, community engagement, and future research collaboration. Her long-term goal is to help strengthen connections between families, clinicians, and the scientific community, and to support efforts that translate advances in neurodegeneration research into meaningful outcomes for patients.

She hopes to contribute to a more informed, connected, and globally inclusive FTD community as research in this field continues to advance.
